"Over the years, this link has continued to strengthen, driven by the tireless desire to bring together a passionate audience and exciting artists. While the madness of grandeur is rampant in many cultural events, the Festival du Gard has never left its line, preferring to defend a human-sized event. And we can only agree with him today because - the successive crises we are going through prove it to us - it is now vital to reverse the growth curve and to put an end to this frantic race to excess.

The festival has also been able to keep its identity, remaining attached to a certain "character" of the song, demanding and committed, while gradually opening up to new aesthetics. It has persisted in defending artistic singularities in the face of the increasingly loud barking of the majors who are trying to smooth and standardize the landscape of song.

Barjac M'en Chante has thus become an essential place of the song, a reference well beyond its Cevennes borders, and radiates today on a national scale but also on a great part of the French-speaking territories. "
