Discover the winegrowers of Barjac

The cooperative cellar, founded in 1929, currently has 50 members and produces an average of 20,000 hectolitres from 300 hectares of vines. It includes the neighbouring communes of Barjac, Saint-Privat-de Champclos and Montclus in the Gard department, and Bessas and Vagnas in the Ardèche department..

The cooperative's winegrowers use integrated pest management, adapting treatments according to field observations and cryptogamic risks.

Production has diversified with the planting of recommended grape varieties (Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Marselan Chardonnay, etc.) on very different geological soils.

The knowledge of the soils, the control of yields, the planting of suitable grape varieties, the know-how and solidarity of the co-operators have enabled the necessary changes to be made to produce quality wines in the Côtes du Vivarais, IGP Oc and IGP Côteaux de l'Ardèche appellations.

Our wines have been awarded the HVE (High Environmental Value) label! This is recognition by the public authorities of the winegrowers' commitment to preserving the environment and the biosphere on their farms.
